The matriarch!
Izi was the second chihuahua of the house, and now the oldest one of the family. She is 15 years going on to 16.
Izi was brought to Cyprus from Greece but she is of Hungarian origin. Over the years she changed from a territorial, annoying, don't-even-try-to-touch-me dog to a loving, sweet dog that wants to play all the time despite her old age.
Izi gave birth to 4 beautiful dogs in her first birth, Beam IV, Tattoo, Ice and Jolie. This birth was also the beginning of the change in her character. Izi is also a survivor of two surgeries and still remains the Chihuahua head of the house.

RIP Beam IV
Today, 9/8/2012 we lost a good friend.
Living up to the legacy of the "Beam" name, Beam died of heart complications in the hands of the person he loved the most.
One of the most beautiful chihuahuas, Beam, the son of Izi and Joya (or Latiko), looked like a lion with his beautiful brown-blonde hair. He was the biggest chihuahua of the pack, a loving companion, a sweet dog who loved to sleep in grandmas lap.
Beam loved his ball. His favorite game was ball throwing in the house's living room. For a few years, it used to be our 5 minute activity during lunch break. I would go home, he would beg to get out of his room, he would cry for his ball and I would just throw it to him. He would bring it back and I would do it again. For 5 minutes and then like the little good dog he was, he would go back in his room.
Due to his heart arrhythmia in the last year we stopped playing this game, but Beam would still beg to get out of his room and play it.
Such a happy dog, such a sad time to see him going. He is going to find his grandfather Ogi, and grandmother Lara and 3 other Beams where he is going. He will be missed and always remembered.
Sleep well my friend, you had a tough last year...
